How Deesis handles your data

Effective date: March 11, 2026. This page explains what personal information Deesis collects, how it is used inside the app, and what content data is stored when users save favourites or submit prayers.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, Deesis stores your account email so your account can be identified. When you complete your profile, the app stores your name, surname, phone number, gender, date of birth, role, and saved prayer references.

Prayer submission data

If you use the content workspace, the app stores prayer submissions and related workflow data. This can include the prayer title, prayer text, Bible verse, verse reference, submission status, owner name, owner email, owner UID, reviewer details, publication linkages, and timestamps such as created and updated times.

How your data is used

Your data is used to authenticate you, show your profile, save favourite prayers, support member, editor, and admin permissions, route incomplete profiles to profile setup, display authors on published prayers, and manage draft, review, publish, and unpublish workflow actions.

What is shown to other users

Published prayer entries may display the author's name in the app. Private profile data such as your phone number, gender, date of birth, favourite list, UID, and email is not intended to be publicly shown in prayer listings. Editors and admins may see submission ownership details while reviewing content.

What we do not currently collect

The current app does not include payments, shipping data, government ID data, or in-app advertising profiles. It also does not ask members to provide medical, biometric, or financial account information as part of normal use.

Storage and providers

Authentication and app data are handled by trusted cloud services used to run Deesis. Account, profile, favourite, and prayer submission data is stored only for the features described in this policy.

Retention and deletion

Profile information remains associated with your account until it is changed or removed. Favourite references remain until you remove them. Draft and pending prayer submissions can be permanently deleted by editors or admins. Published entries may remain live until edited or unpublished by an administrator.

Access and corrections

You can update your profile information from the profile page. If you need additional corrections or removal that the interface does not support, contact an administrator for help.

Security

Deesis uses sign-in, role-based access, and data access controls to limit access to private account data and workflow actions.

Children's privacy

The app currently collects date of birth as part of the profile record. If this service is made available to minors, the project owner should review whether additional consent, age-gating, or parental notice requirements apply in the target jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

This privacy page may be updated if the app starts collecting new categories of data, adds analytics, introduces messaging features, or changes how published authorship and submission workflow are handled.
